Our Retreats

At Deliver the Dream, our mission is clear and we devote our days to providing healing retreats that enable families living with serious illness or crisis to build bonds and form relationships with other families who are experiencing the same in order to regain strength in mind, spirit, and family… one retreat at a time.

Deliver the Dream retreats provide structured, therapeutic, fun activities for families experiencing a serious illness or crisis.  Each individual retreat is geared toward a specific illness or crisis so that families can lean on and build a support network.  Families can be referred by a network or by a non-profit healthcare organization, however, we do accept applications from those self-referred.  Our weekend retreats are a three-day, two-night experience in South Florida.  There is absolutely no charge to our families who attend.

During a retreat, families will participate in a variety of recreational activities, discussion groups, interactive experiences, creative workshops, teambuilding exercises, and more.  All activities are designed to help transform coping skills, improve communication, and strengthen the bonds of family.  Deliver the Dream also helps to provide each family with resources and an opportunity to build relationships with other families dealing with a similar illness or crisis, building a support network.

Each retreat is offered at one of our unique venues in South Florida.  Each location is full of natural beauty, creating the perfect rustic setting for a therapeutic retreat.  Upon arrival, families are paired up with Family Pals – an amazing Deliver the Dream volunteer who acts as a guide for each individual family throughout the retreat weekend.  All of our Deliver the Dream volunteers are at least 18 years of age and are fully vetted.  Volunteers then go through an intensive multi-day training program before volunteering in any of our programs.

If you or somebody you know is trying to cope with a serious illness or crisis in their family… please contact us today and complete our online application.

Hello! Was wondering if I could get a little more information on the August family retreat for Autism. My youngest daughter has been diagnosed, and our family is really struggling with coping and information overload. Thank you in advance!
