National Red Ribbon Week 2019

“Send A Message. Stay Drug Free.” Was the theme selected among thousands of ideas submitted by parents, teachers, students, and community members across the country. Isabella Ware, a student from Griswold Middle School in Griswold, Connecticut created the winning message. The call to action to speak out in support of making healthy choices by staying drug-free. It sends a message to yourself and others about how much you value yourself, your health, your community, and your future.

The National Red Ribbon Campaign organized by the National Family Partnership provides drug awareness and education in communities across America. Since its beginning in 1985, the Red Ribbon has touched the lives of millions of people around the world and in communities close to home. Today, the Red Ribbon Campaign serves to mobilize communities to educate youth and encourage participation in drug prevention activities.
