“Finding Hope, Healing, and Community Through Deliver the Dream”

By The Joinvilles

Before finding Deliver the Dream, our family often felt isolated in our journey as a special needs family. While we deeply love and cherish our child, the day-to-day realities brought challenges that were hard to explain to others. We experienced emotional exhaustion, limited resources, and the feeling that very few people truly understood what our family was going through. Many times, it felt like we were navigating this path alone, without a clear support system or guidance on what help was available.

We found out about Deliver the Dream through our special-needs family group at church. One family in our group had attended a Deliver the Dream Family Retreat and shared their experience with us. Hearing firsthand how impactful it was and how supportive and welcoming the community felt really stood out to us and encouraged us to get connected ourselves.

Finding Deliver the Dream changed everything for us. It became more than just an organization; it became a community. Through Deliver the Dream, we discovered that the struggles we were experiencing were shared by many other families just like ours. Knowing we were not alone gave us incredible encouragement and hope. We built meaningful connections with other special needs families who truly understood our joys, challenges, and faith journey.

Our Family Retreat experience with Deliver the Dream was truly one of the best experiences our family has ever had. From the moment we arrived until the time we left, everything was completely taken care of for us. We never had to lift a finger, and honestly, my wife and I didn’t even know what to do with our free time at first. That kind of rest and peace is something special needs parents rarely get.

Our children were showered with love. They received so many toys, and the activities were absolutely amazing. What meant the most to us was that a dedicated volunteer was assigned to be with our children for the entire weekend. That allowed us to relax, reconnect, and simply breathe – something we rarely get.

Connecting with Deliver the Dream through their Family Retreat has also helped improve our family dynamics and relationships. That time gave my wife and me the rare opportunity to be together without constant demands, strengthening our marriage and refreshing us emotionally and spiritually. It’s an experience we will always cherish.

Deliver the Dream didn’t just give us a weekend away; it gave us renewed energy, deeper bonds, and a reminder that support and community can truly change how a family thrives together.

The organization makes us feel seen, supported, and understood. It reminds us that we are not alone in our journey as a special needs family. Being part of this community brings hope and a sense of belonging. It has given us a safe place to connect with families who genuinely understand both our challenges and our joys, and for that, we are deeply grateful.
